  • Who may be a member?

    Ordinary membership is open to all individuals employed or engaged in the insurance
    industry in The Bahamas. In addition, persons not employed in the industry, but interested
    in insurance, can be Associate, non-voting members. Companies / associations can
    become Corporate members and, in addition, the institute can appoint Honorary members.

    You do not need to be professionally qualified or a student to be a member.

  • What is the membership fee?

    Annual fees are as follows:-

    Ordinary Members - $25
    Associate Members - $35
    Corporate Members - $200

  • What are the benefits of a membership?

    Apart from the interaction with other in the industry, you will benefit in the following ways:-

    Discounted fees for institute events such as luncheon talks, educational courses,
    conferences and social events.

    A complimentary copy of the Institute's newsletter.

    Use of the Institute's library (when operational).

    Discounts for various goods and services (to be negotiated).

    The prestige of belonging to a professional organisation.

  • How do I become a member?

    Simply fill out one of our Membership Forms and return it along with your payment to the
    Institute via any one of our contacts.
